What are your hours?
Monday to Thursday, 4 PM to 2 AM. Friday to Sunday, noon to 2 AM. Happy hour runs Monday to Friday until 7 PM.
Do you take reservations?
No reservations needed on regular nights. Walk in. For a group or a party, see private events.
Is there a happy hour?
Yes. Monday to Friday until 7 PM.
Do you have live music?
Yes, on the calendar every month. Follow @halfstepbar on Instagram for who's playing, or check the music page.
Is the ice really cut by hand?
Yes. Spears, cubes and crushed ice, cut from big clear blocks.
Do you have non-alcoholic drinks?
Athletic Brewing N/A beer, housemade ginger beer, and non-alcoholic cocktails. Ask the bartender. See the menu.
Do you serve food?
We're a cocktail bar, not a kitchen. Rainey Street has plenty of food nearby.
Is the bar 21+?
Yes, 21+ at all times with valid ID.
Can I book Half Step for a private event?
Yes. Email the events team from the private events page with the date, the occasion, and whether you're hosting the drinks.
What's the loyalty program?
Friends of the Bar: free to join, points on every tab at any Pouring with Heart bar, double points Monday through Wednesday before 8 PM, and $5 off just for signing up. Details on the loyalty page.
